Hello!

You have to find out how much she ran in total

She ran 10 miles on one day and half that the next

You have to find what half of 10 is

You can do 10/2 = 5

Now you add both of them together

10 + 5 = 15

The answer is 15 miles

Hope this helps!

All of the functions shown below are either exponential growth or decay functions.
AlekseyPX

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If an exponential function is in the form of y = a(b)ˣ,

a = Initial quantity

b = Growth factor

x = Duration

Condition for exponential growth → b > 1

Condition for exponential decay → 0 < b < 1

Now we ca apply this condition in the given functions,

1). y=3.2(1+0.45)^{2x}

   Here, (1 + 0.45) = 1.45 > 1

   Therefore, It's an exponential growth.

2). y=(0.85)^{3x}

    Here, (0.85) is between 0 and 1,

    Therefore, it's an exponential decay.

3). y = (1 - 0.03)ˣ + 4

    Here, (1 - 0.03) = 0.97

    And 0 < 0.97 < 1

    Therefore, It's an exponential decay.

4). y = 0.5(1.2)ˣ + 2

    Here, 1.2 > 1

    Therefore, it's an exponential growth.

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the combined length of Pine and Elm and the lengths together

Pine +Elm

We are estimating by rounding to the nearest whole number

Pine is 2.7 so it rounds to 3 because we look at the .7 and since .7 is greater than .5 it rounds the 2 to 3

Elm is 8.9  so it rounds to 9 because we look at the .9 and since .9 is greater than .5 it rounds the 8 to 9

2.7 + 8.9 rounds to 3+9 = 12

12 is reasonable because the actual answer is 2.7+8.9 = 11.6 which rounds to 12

What is the equation for this line slope= -4 and Y-intercept= 10
Orlov [11]

Answer:

Y = -4x + 10

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation is y = mx + b, so if you input the values you will get y = -4x + 10.

I hope this helped :)
