Baptiste's father was an alcoholic. Susan just broke up with her boyfriend of five years and has started drinking a glass or two

of wine every night to help her relax before bed. Allan grew up in a family where moderate alcohol consumption was a regular part of the evening meal. Consuela, who has a very low-paying job and a sizable college debt, has begun hanging out with people at work who are similarly discouraged and who drink to dull the emotional pain of their situation. Based on this information alone, which of these four is least likely to abuse alcohol or become an alcoholic?

Greeley [361]
The correct answer is Stimulation of the vagus nerve.

If you stimulate the vagus nerve, the parasympathetic system that connects it all has an impulse that travels to the heart and it slows down the heart. If you stimulate the sympathetic in any way you will actually increase the heart rate which wouldn't be good for the patient.
