Enzymes are affected by factors like temperature, pH, and other environmental factors. It is primarily a protein which has building blocks called amino acids. The shape of the substrate and the enzyme do not necessarily have the same shape because there are types called induced type of enzymes which depend on other external factors to fit the two entities
