Regarding Federalist Era, it ran from 1788 - 1800 and one of its achievements is that it began with the ratification of the United States, it also created a more powerful government by writing a new Constitution, this period was supported by George Washington and John Adams. A fail is when the Federalists took an aristocratic vision that was not popular to the Americas of middle class.

Within that perior, Hawaii was annexed to its states and the Philippines, Puerto Rico and Guam were also annexed after the Spanish-American war. That war also had the consequence of liberating Cuba from the Spanish oppression. The acquisition of such colonies was due to the fact that new lands from which to get raw materials were needed. Besides, there appeared the need to sell their products overseas.
