Graen’s Leader-Member Exchange Model or also known as the Vertical Dyad Linkage Theory suggests that the leader's action towards their subordinates is determined by their potential differences and therefore leaders develops special relationship with some of their subordinates based on their capabilities and talents. The quality of their relationship is reflected in their mutual trust, respect, support, and obligation.
