Answer:

Option 2 is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given points of g(x) and f(x)

g(x)  has ordered pairs  (0,1) ,(1,2) ,(3,8) ,(5,32) and (6,64) this is an exponential function which is g(x)=2^x from the given points.

f(x) has ordered pairs (0,1) ,(1,2) ,(3,10) ,(5,26) and (6,37)  this is a quadratic function

We will put these values in the quadratic function which is:

ax^2+bx+c=y

Taking (0,1)

a(0)+b(0)+c=1

c=1

Now, taking (1,2)

a+b+1=2

a+b=1   (1)

Now, taking (3,10)

a(3)^2+b(3)+1=10

9a+3b=9      (2)

Now, solving the equation (1) and (2) we get:

a=1 and b=0

Hence, the function f(x)=x^2+1

Please look at the attachment for the graph

We can see that the g(x) an exponential function will eventually exceed the increasing quadratic function

Therefore, option 2 is correct.

Ben ran 3/10 of a mile. Shelly ran 8/10 of a mile. How many more miles did Shelly run than Ben? A) 11/10 B) 11/20 C) 5/0 D) 5/10
attashe74 [19]

Hello there! Shelly ran D) 5/10 more miles than Ben.

To find the difference between the two runner's distances, subtract the smaller distance from the greater distance.

8/10 - 3/10 = 5/10

Since there is a difference of 5/10, this means Shelly ran 5/1 more miles.

I hope this helps, & have a great rest of your day! :)

A container shaped as a rectangular prism can hold 756 wooden cube blocks with edge lengths of 13 ft.
pychu [463]

Answer:

the volume of the container is 28\ ft^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

To find the volume of the container calculate the volume of one wooden cube block and multiply by 756

The volume of one cube is equal to

V=(1/3)^{3}= (1/27)\ ft^{3}

the volume of the container is equal to

V=(1/27)*756=28\ ft^{3}

The surface areas of two similar solids are 340 yd² and 1,158 yd². The volume of the larger solid is 1,712 yd³. What is the volu
ratelena [41]

The ratio of surface area is equal to the ratio of the square of the corresponding dimensions. And ratio of volumes of two solids is equal to the cube of the ratio of the corresponding dimensions .

We start with the relation between ratio of surface area and ratio of corresponding sides. That is

\frac{340}{1158}=(\frac{x}{y} )^2

Here x and y are the corresponding sides .

\frac{x}{y} =\sqrt{\frac{340}{1158} } =0.542

Let the volume of the smaller one be v

\frac{v}{1712}=0.542^3

v=1712*0.542^3=272

So for the smaller solid, volume is 272 . And the correct option is the first option .

A movie rental club charges a one time fee of $25 to join and $2 for every movie rented which equation could represent how much
tia_tia [17]

<u>Answer:</u>

The correct answer option is B. c = 25 + 2m.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

We are given that a movie rental club charges a one time fee of $25 to join and $2 for every movie rented.

We are to determine whether which of the given equations in the answer options represent how much you would spend to join the club and rent movies for a year.

The correct answer option is B. c = 25 + 2m.

One time charges = 25 plus $2 multiplied by the number of movies rented.
