Cytokinesis is when the cell pinches in 2 towards the end of meiosis and mitosis divisions. The chromsomes aren't as spread out and easy to see as during metaphase. Meiosis is the whole process of producing gametes and not a stage/phase of division. Mitosis is the whole process of cell division for growth and repair. Metaphase is a particular phase in mitosis and meiosis where the chromosomes have been duplicated and are contracted and visible.

Gustatory cells or the taste buds contains the different sensory cells on the tongue. The papillae consists of all the taste receptors. The sweet, bitter, salty, umami and sour tastes are recognized by the receptors.

The different individuals have different taste because of the presence of the different taste buds. The number of the taste buds decreases the individual gets older. The children has more taste buds and can easily understand the taste of different things. Hence, Joshua dislikes the broccoli taste.

The A159E mutation causes an A amino acid to be replaced with an E amino acid (their structures are shown here). What type of mu
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

Substitution

Explanation:

Mutations can simply be defined as change in the structure of a gene. Mutation can be of different types. These include, but not limited to:

  • Insertion: This involves the insertion of extra base pairs into a DNA
  • Deletion: Loss of DNA section
  • Substitution: When a nucleotide base gets substituted with another base.

<em>Substitution of a base can lead to coding of different amino acid and hence, protein. It can also lead to coding of the same amino acid, otherwise known as silent mutation. Base substitution can also lead to the amino-acid-coding codon becoming a stop codon, leading to an incomplete protein.</em>

The correct answer is substitution.
