Answer:

$2

Step-by-step explanation:

Sandy adds $4 to a certain amount of money she already has saved.

Let the amount she has saved be x.

=> x + 4

Kyle already has 10 times as much money as sandy has saved (10x) but then spends 14$ dollars of his savings.

=> 10x - 14

They both have the same amount of money now:

=> 10x - 14 = x + 4

To get x, collect like terms and simplify:

10x - x = 4 + 14

9x = 18

x = 18 / 9 = $2

This means that Sandy had already saved $2.

It looks like for all of these we will be using the Pythagorean theorem.

If you don't know what this is or how to apply it, go to the website "Khan Academy" and watch his video(s) on it. I would suggest going to that site whenever you don't understand something in math :)

I'll just be giving you the answers and won't explain what I'm doing, but please do go to Khan Academy to find out how to do it on your own!!

Anyway, onto the answers.

1) a = 12.5, b = 5.7, c = 13.7.
2) 24
3) 19.2
4) 6.4
5) 18.7
6) 98.5
7) 1.9

Hope this helps!!!

Find the approximate side length of a square game board with an area of 171 in?
Makovka662 [10]

<em>Greetings from Brasil...</em>

According to the statement of the question, we conclude that the area of a square is requested, whose value is 171 in²

The area of a square is given by the expression:

A = S²

<em>where S is the side of the square - just what we want to know</em>

So:

A = S²

171 = S²

√171 = S

<h3>S ≈ 13.08in</h3>

A polygon is regular if each of it's sides has the same length. find the perimeter of the regular polygon.
KiRa [710]

Answer:

I would assume you're supposed to solve for x and multiply that by 8 for the perimeter. Like I said in the comment, I'm not a math major.

Evaluate sin(Tan^-10)
Musya8 [376]

\tan x=0 for x=n\pi, where n is any integer. The inverse tangent function returns numbers between -\dfrac\pi2 and \dfrac\pi2. The only multiple of \pi in this range is 0, so \tan^{-1}0=0.

Then

\sin\left(\tan^{-1}0\right)=\sin0=\boxed0
