Planting of small vegetation and plants to hold the soil together.

Planting trees around the land to protect the soil from harsh winds.

Explanation:
Soil erosion can be prevented in various ways. If my land was suffering from soil erosion, the best remedies that I would undertake to protect my topsoil from further erosion are as follows:
Planting of small vegetation and plants to hold the soil together. Plants and vegetation bind the soil together and protect them from being eroded.
Planting trees around the land to protect the soil from harsh winds. The tress would act as windbreakers preventing the soil from direct harsh winds.
This two remedies are the most environmental friendly as well as cheap and affordable for protection of soil erosion.
The Dust Bowl mainly affected farmers and their crops in the rural areas. After the Dust Bowl happened, the land was no longer suitable for planting new crops, therefore the farmers who got paid for their crops migrated to urban areas in search for a new job.
