Answer:

The living conditions of slaves in the antbellum American South, were some of the worst places for slaves across entire history.

*Living Conditions of Slaves: Housing *

Slaves were relocated in areas of the plantation for their living quarters. On some plantations the owners would provide the slaves with housing, on others the slaves had to build their own homes. Slaves that had to build their own houses tend to make them like the houses they had, had in Africa and they all had thatched roofs. Living conditions were cramped in with mostly as many as ten people sharing a hut.

*Living Conditions of Slaves; Food *

Sometimes they were given pans for cooking, but often they had to make their own food. The long hours they had to work in the fields meant that they had little free time for making things to improve their living conditions. Some slaves used a hollow out pumpkin shell to cook their food in.

Most plantation owners did not spend more money on food for their slaves than they had to and so the slaves lived on a diet of fatty meat and cornbread.

*Living Conditions of Slaves: Clothing *

Slaves would be given 1 pair of shoes and three items of underwear a year. (I don't know if this is true, so check up on that before you submit your "assignment" or whatever you need this for). Although these and other clothing would be provided by their owner, they were probably always the wrong size or shape for the person wearing it. ( made out of rough/loose materials in texture).

*Living Conditions of Slaves: Free Time *

Most slaves worked from sunrise to sunset. Some owners made their slaves work every day, others allowed slaves one day a month off and some allowed their slaves to have Sundays as a rest-day.

Slaves would spend their free time fixing their huts, making pots and pans and just chillin'. (also known as relaxing, xd). Some plantation owners allowed their slaves a tiny little plot area of land to grow things to supplement their diet.

Slaves weren't  allowed to read or write, but some were allowed to go to church.

Answer:

Morality

Explanation:

In religion, morality related to religious views. In every religion, religion sets some framework that determines right and wrong.

Many people who believe in religion think morality is because of religion but research shows that it is not a religion but it is the conviction of people against others.  Morality is the relationship of conduct among the people while on the other side religion defines the relationship between the people and beyond reality.

Ber [7]

Answer:

The functionalist theory of the family, developed by Talcott Parsons, argues that nuclear families are necessary for child rearing and fulfilling society's need for productive workers.

Explanation:

For functionalism, society can be understood metaphorically as a living organism that is composed of different organs or structures, each of them with a function or functions necessary for the social organism to live. Society is a complex system whose parts "fit together" producing a balance or social stability.

According to the functionalist paradigm, the family meets four basic objectives that make it an essential institution for the proper functioning of a society.

In the first place, the family fulfills the function of socialization of the children, understood as the learning of the basic tools to be well integrated members of society. It is not the only social institution involved in this task, there is also the educational system for example, but the family is essential especially in the first years of the life of individuals, although of course, family socialization continues throughout life.

Second, the functionalists point out the function of regulating sexual activity. All cultures rationalize sexuality through their matrimonial forms, which can be very different from one society to another, in order to maintain a certain order in the organization of kinship and property rights. A cultural universal related to kinship and sexuality is the incest taboo that is a norm that avoids sexual relations or marriage between relatives and that, despite its universality, acquires different forms.

The third function is reproduction. The family is the environment in which children are born and this function is vital for society to last. The social identity of the individual defined, among other characteristics, by ethnicity, religion and social class is determined by birth in the context of a particular family. The socioeconomic position at the origin is marked by the family.

And finally, the functionalists say that before a hostile outside world, the family provides material and emotional security. The individual seeks physical protection, emotional support and financial assistance from close relatives and, to a greater or lesser extent, almost all families provide this assistance, which does not mean that there are no economic conflicts and difficult relationships within them.
