eek. Part A: Create an equation that shows the amount of money earned, E, for working x hours in a week when there is no overtime. (3 points) Part B: Create an equation that shows the amount of wages earned, T, for working y hours of overtime. Hint: Remember to include in the equation the amount earned from working 35 hours. (3 points) Part C: Dominic earned $730 in 1 week. How many hours (regular plus overtime) did he work? Show your work. (4 points)

Part A: (no overtime) E = 18x. Please note that x cannot exceed 35, thus E cannot exceed $630.

Part B: T = 25y + 18x where x = 35 hours. Thus, T = 25y + 630.

Part C: T = $730. 730 = 630 + 25y. Subtract 630 from both sides. 100 = 25y. Divide both sides by 25. y = 4. This is the number of overtime hours -- remember that Dominic has already worked 35 hours non-overtime. 35 + 4 = $730.

Use the image below to answer the following question. Find the value of sin x® and cos yº What relationship do the ratios of sin
Flauer [41]

Answer:

sin(x) and cos(y) are equal and have ratio of 1 : 1

First find the missing hypotenuse using Pythagoras theorem:

a² + b² = c²

12² + 5² = c²

c = √144+25

c = 13

using sine rule:

sin(x) = \dfrac{opposite}{hypotenuse}

sin(x) = \dfrac{5}{13}

using cosine rule:

cos(y) = \dfrac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

cos(y) = \dfrac{5}{13}

Reese deposited $7500 for two years into a money market account. At the end of two years, she earned $1200 interest. What rate o
icang [17]

Answer:

She deposited $7500. So it is the principal.

At the end of  years, she had total of $8700.

So the total amount is $8700 and the time period is 2 years.

Interest = Total amount - principal = $8700 - $7500 = $1200

We need the rate of interest.

we know that Interest = PTR/100

⇒1200 = 7500*2*R/100

⇒R = 1200*100/7500*2

⇒R = 120000/15000 = 8%

Rate of interest is 8%
