Anne frank makes the narrative about her own feelings growing up in the basement

Explanation:

The narrator and authorial decisions of Anne frank are first and foremost defined by her acknowledgement of the fact that what she is documenting might be more important than it is to her self only.

That she realizes that this documentation of an extraordinary life the Jews had to live in their hiding spaces from the Germans is something that is unique.

Thus she captures everything around her with sincerity she can offer  as an author and tries to create a good picture that is faithful.

The ideas which were important was the discrimination and the segregation. This is because the story deals with the narration of the African American family so they are often victim of the discriminatory and the other related practices.

After reading the book, it gave a clear picture of the situation of the African American people living there. It helped in understanding the entire scenario where the practices of discrimination are done against the family.

I think its an Idiom. I don't see like or as. So no simile. I don't see he is something like a marshmallow. - No metaphor. I also don't see a non-human thing doing human things- the grass was dancing in the wind. My answer would be an idiom.
