(x-6.25)×1.6667×2.8=146÷5.2143
((146÷5.2143)÷(1.6667×2.8))+6.27=x

Answer:

Number was \frac{1}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number was x.

As per statement of the question,

Subtracted from 6\frac{1}{4}

⇒ 6\frac{1}{4} - x

⇒ \frac{25}{4}-x

Difference was multiplied by 1\frac{2}{3}

= (\frac{25}{4}-x)\times (1\frac{2}{3})

= (\frac{25}{4}-x)\times (\frac{5}{3})

Then again multiplied by 2\frac{4}{5} Or \frac{14}{5}

= (\frac{25}{4}-x)\times (\frac{5}{3})\times (\frac{14}{5})

= (\frac{25}{4}-x)\times (\frac{14}{3})

This result was same as the result of division of 146 by 5\frac{3}{14}

= \frac{146}{\frac{73}{14}}

= \frac{146\times 14}{73}

= 28

Now (\frac{25}{4}-x)\times (\frac{14}{3}) = 28

(\frac{25}{4}-x)=(\frac{3\times 28}{14})

(\frac{25}{4}-x)=6

x = \frac{25}{4}-6

  = \frac{25-24}{4}

  = \frac{1}{4}

  = \frac{1}{4}

This is a lowest common multiple question.
to find the lowest common multiple, you need to find the prime factors of the two numbers:
8 = 2 , 2 , 2
12 = 2 , 2 , 3
Take out duplicates:
2,2,2,3
and multiply them together:
2*2*2*3 = 24
and that is your answer.
Easy peasy.
