What alleles do the F1 offspring have? Explain which allele was inherited from each parent.
serious [3.7K]

Allele is defined as the alternate form of a gene. The alleles of the F1 off springs of the Mendel's work are dominant alleles. Dominant allele is the main allele. For any genetic trait everyone possess two alleles where as in reproductive traits such as egg, sperm only one allele is present for any trait. Parents generally contribute one allele per one gene. The allele inherited from each parent may be recessive or dominant. This is because each individual parent possess both the alleles that is dominant or recessive hence the offspring may possess half of the characteristics of the alleles from both the parents. Therefore the alleles which are inherited from parents may be either dominant or recessive. Mendel took the lines of pure breeding peas of green and yellow and self fertilised, then these plants produced off springs of with the same trait. The pea pods on one plant will produce green colour pods where as the pea pods on the other plant will produce yellow colour pods this is defined as the F1 generation.

Use the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to place the protein creation steps below in the correct order. Ribosome attaches to the mRNA.
kirza4 [7]

Answer: The correct sequence for the protein creation is as follows-

1) Information is transcribed in DNA to mRNA.

2) mRNA leaves the nucleus.

3) Ribosome attaches to the mRNA.

4) tRNA anticodon carries an amino acid that compliments the mRNA codon.

5) The chain of amino acids forms a protein.

According to the Central Dogma, the genetic information is transferred from DNA to mRNA to Proteins.

The first step is transcription in which DNA is converted to mRNA with the help of enzyme RNA polymerase. In eukaryotic cells, this process occurs in the nucleus.

This is followed by translation, which takes place in the cytoplasm when mRNA leaves the nucleus.

Ribosomes are the specialized organelles, which act as the site for protein synthesis ( translation).

Ribosomes attach to the mRNA. tRNA brings amino acid, which has anticodon complementary to the codon present in the mRNA. A chain of amino acids is thus synthesized, which is called Protein.

Which bond is the most polar?
H C
N= N
O H
jenyasd209 [6]

O-H bond is referred to as the most polar.

Explanation:

O-H bond is said to be most polar because the electronegativity is different. Electronegativity can be said as the atom's ability to attract electrons towards itself. Electronegativity of an atom increases when there is a movement on the periodic table from left to right.

When the electronegativity between the atoms are different then it is said to be a polar bond on the other case if the electronegativity between the atoms are same it is said to be non- polar bonds.
