likoan [24]

Answer:

D. enforcing a town’s laws

Explanation:

City officials have functions regarding city administration and situations and processes involving city dwellers. Among the various duties these employees must undertake, they are responsible for organizing and electing, planning annual agendas and issuing various licenses. However, it is important to know how to separate the roles of city officials from the role of city politicians who, while also working for the city, are responsible for enforcing the laws of a city. Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

The answer is Kulaks

Explanation:

The term Kulak referred to peasants who owned more than 8 acres of land and were considered “hesitating allies” of the revolution. In the 1930s, with Joseph Stalin in control of the Soviet Union, kulaks were decimated; peasants who became wealthier from 1906 to 1914 thanks to the Stolypin Reform were targeted as kulaks, but also anyone who withheld grain from the Bolsheviks. From 1929 to 1932 the dekulakization consisted on the arrest, deportation and execution of millions of prosperous peasants in order to seize their lands as part of Stalin’s first five years plan on the attempt to create new policies centred on a rapid industrialization and collectivization of agriculture (aimed to integrate individual landholdings and labour into collectively-controlled and state-controlled farms).

What is an important difference between Western Europe economies and Eastern European economies
Ostrovityanka [42]

Europe bases its economy on different economic activities. Though some of these activities are similar throughout the continent, Western Europe and Eastern Europe tend to have different focus areas. Western Europe bases much of its economic activities on service industries such as banking, trade, finance, and technology. Western Europe also manufactures products such as pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and aerospace crafts and technologies. Eastern Europe tends to focus on consumer goods and food processing. Agriculture and industry are more widespread in Eastern Europe than in Western Europe. Eastern Europe is working to shift its economy from a command economy to a mixed market, and it is beginning to add more and more service industries throughout the region.
