Answer:

Eliza Lucas Pinckney – Introduced indigo as a cash crop

John Peter Zenger – Criticized the government in print

Benjamin Franklin – Conducted experiments with electricity

Explanation:

Eliza Lucas Pinkney (1722 – 1793) was one of the most important figures in the agricultural sector in South Carolina. She started cultivating indigo in 1739, to resolve her financial issues. Later, she developed the production of indigo as one of the most important cash crops, having the strongest influence on the colonial economy.

John Peter Zenger (1697 – 1746) was a German journalist who lived in New York City and fought for press freedom by criticizing the government and the colonial governor William Cosby. Thanks to his publications in the New York Weekly Journal he established one of the most important victories for the freedom of the press in North American colonies.

Benjamin Franklin (1706 – 1790) was an American scientist, politician, and inventor, best known as one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. One of his biggest achievements as an inventor was his experiment with electricity, where he proved the existence of positive and negative charges, that led him to the invention of the lightning rod.
