When a person is doing a moderate to low intensity and long duration exercise, the breakdown of aerobic glucose is prominent which results to the generation of ATP or also called as adrenosine triphosphate.  When a person cell produces glucose or sugar, the inner fold of the mitochondria called cristae will eventually breakdown those formed sugars in the body in order to release and ATP.  The ATP then focuses on the transportation of energy within the cell which is used in the process of metabolism.  Also, a breakdown of one phosphate group which was removed from ATP will have a formed product of ADP.
