Answer:

The Roosevelt Corollary was different from the Monroe Doctrine as it said the United States would get involved in the affairs of Latin American countries.

Explanation:

The Roosevelt Corollary was a substantial amendment to the Monroe Doctrine by President Theodore Roosevelt. In its altered state, the Monroe Doctrine would now consider Latin America and the Caribbean as territory to expand the commercial interests of the United States in the region, in addition to its original purpose, to maintain European hegemony outside the hemisphere.

This amendment stated that if a Latin American or Caribbean country threatened or endangered the rights or property of American citizens or companies, the US government was obliged to intervene in the internal affairs of the "derailed" country to reorder it, restoring the rights and patrimony of its citizens and its companies.

Why should the President have a say in which bills become laws?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

He is in control of the executive branch

Explanation:

Without the executive branch the checks and balances system would fail, which means that one part or in this case two parts of the government would rule the other. The system is put down so that for example the legislative branch can't make laws without the presidents approval, unless overruled, that seem fit to them
