<u>Answer-</u>

\boxed{\boxed{QR=12}}

<u>Solution-</u>

Triangle Midpoint Theorem-

<em>The line segment connecting the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is </em><em>parallel to the third side</em><em> and is congruent to </em><em>one half of the third side</em><em>.</em>

As given in the question,

QV = SV, so V is the mid point of QS,

SU = RU, so R is the mid point of RS.

Hence, UV is the line joining the midpoints of QS and RS.

Applying Triangle Midpoint Theorem,

\Rightarrow UV=\dfrac{1}{2}QR

\Rightarrow QR=2UV

\Rightarrow QR=2\times 6

\Rightarrow QR=12

Therefore, the side length of QR is 12 units.

TR = 6
QR = 2(TR)
QR = 2(6)
QR = 12

If f(1) = 10 and f(n) = f(n = 1) – 4 then find the value of f(5).
svetoff [14.1K]

Given:

f(1)=10 and f(n)=f(n-1)-4.

To find:

The value of f(5).

Solution:

We have,

f(n)=f(n-1)-4

For n=2,

f(2)=f(2-1)-4

f(2)=f(1)-4

f(2)=10-4

f(2)=6

For n=3,

f(3)=f(3-1)-4

f(3)=f(2)-4

f(3)=6-4

f(3)=2

For n=4,

f(4)=f(4-1)-4

f(4)=f(3)-4

f(4)=2-4

f(4)=-2

For n=5,

f(5)=f(5-1)-4

f(5)=f(4)-4

f(5)=-2-4

f(5)=-6

Therefore, the value of f(5) is -6.
