What do peasant farmers do when they lost their crops?
Talja [164]

Answer:

What do peasant farmers do when they lost their crops?

Peasant farmers often depended on subsistence agriculture - this means that the farmers primarily grew crops to feed themselves and their families, rather than selling their crops for economic gain.

So, if the peasant farmers lose their crops, they will have nothing to eat. The peasants will probably go hungry and perhaps starve.

And what common pattern do we see when the masses are starving? They revolt ! I suppose that's a bit of a stretch, but in general, the peasant class would definitely be upset at having no crops to feed themselves and their children. Such tensions will be directed at their leader or "King" who is supposed to be prepared for any disaster.

Wouldn't people think, "The leader has everything he wants and can get anything he does not have, can't he share with us?"

Anyways, that's how I would interpret this question.

Hope this helps!

List some of the events of the mid-1930s that led to President Roosevelt to give his Quarantine Speech.

Explanation:

The Quarantine Speech was given by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt on October 5, 1937 in Chicago (on the occasion of the dedication of the bridge between north and south outer Lake Shore Drive), calling for an international "quarantine" against the "epidemic of world lawlessness" by aggressive nations as an alternative to the political climate of American neutrality and non-intervention that was prevalent at the time. The speech intensified America's isolationist mood, causing protest by non-interventionists and foes to intervene. No countries were directly mentioned in the speech, although it was interpreted as referring to the Empire of Japan, the Kingdom of Italy, and Nazi Germany.[1] Roosevelt suggested the use of economic pressure, a forceful response, but less direct than outright aggression.

Public response to the speech was mixed. Famed cartoonist Percy Crosby, creator of Skippy (comic strip) and very outspoken Roosevelt critic, bought a two-page advertisement in the New York Sun to attack it.[2] In addition, it was heavily criticized by Hearst-owned newspapers and Robert R. McCormick of the Chicago Tribune, but several subsequent compendia of editorials showed overall approval in US media.[3]

How do you think the ghettos facilitated the eventual extermination of the Jews?
Dafna1 [17]
The ghettos facilitated the eventual extermination because they were hurdled up in one place.
Ghettos were an Eastern phenomenon because of space and money issues which were more common in eastern Europe than in Germany.
Jews maintained hope through praying and through hoping that they would be able to sneak out of the country to somewhere else.
The invasion of the Soviet Union differed because the Soviet Union put up a much harder fight and wasn't overrun as was Poland at the time.
