The answer is 2.25 or 1 2/14

She bought 2 1/4 more blue ribbon.

4 3/8 - 2 1/8 = 2.25
2.25= 9/4
9/4= 2 1/4

How do you solve this?
geniusboy [140]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

x = 50

Discussion:

(4x +5) ( 2x - 2) =  8x^2 - 8x + 10x - 10

                          = 8x^2 + 2x - 10                             (A)

(16x^8)/(2x^6)  + 90 =   8x^2 + 90                           (B)

Setting (A) = (B) gives

8x^2 + 2x - 10 = 8x^2 + 90

Subtract 8x^2 from both sides:

2x - 10 = 90

Add 10 to both sides:

2x = 90 + 10 = 100

Divide both sides by 2:

x = 100/2 = 50

Thank you,

MrB

Everett and marie are going to make fruit bars for their family reunion. they want to make four times the amount the recipe make
meriva
Okay, since the problem states that they're going to make 4 times the recipe and the recipe is 2/3, You have to multiply 2/3 x 4/1 which equals to 8/3, When you convert it into a mixed numbe you have 2 2/3, Hope I helped.
