The correct answer is A) Their commitment to the plantation system made South Carolina one of the wealthiest states.

The Barbadians affected South Carolina in that their commitment to the plantation system made South Carolina one of the wealthiest states.

The English colonists established in South Carolina studied the profitable model of the plantations in Barbados, in the Caribbean islands. They even hired white people that lived there to launch their own plantations in South Carolina. These people brought with them African slaves and Barbadian workers to work in the new plantations in South Carolina. Sugar cane crops never functioned, but by 1690, the plantation model of work was successful when cultivating rice and South Carolina became a profitable colony with the help of slaves.

Why was there a resurgence of the KKK in the 20s?
MissTica

The KKK reemerged again and grew to millions of members in the 20s for a variety fo reasons.

They first gained a foothold in the depression after World War I before the roaring 20s. By stoking the xenophobia and conservative moralism of white Protestants in cities around the country (not just the South), the KKK was able to recruit members who feared immigrants and a loss of their "way of life."
