First you have to create a proportion which would look like 25/100 =n/136. to find the answer cross multiply the answer: 100n=25*136 which simplified is: 100n=3400. Now you have to divide by 100 to either side:100n/100=3400/100 and that simplified is n=34 and 34 dollars is your answer

Place the grouping symbols to make this equation true. 84-48/8-4=72
vlabodo [156]
84-6-4=72
48/4=12. 84-12= 72
84 - (48/(8-4)) = 84 - (48/4) -4 = 72
84 - 12 = 72

Inessa [10]

Answer:

26.6 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the figures are similar

linear ratio = a : b

area ratio = a² : b²

here

area ratio = 16 : 25, then

linear ratio = 4 : 5 ( square root of both area ratio parts )

let the perimeter of the larger figure be x, then by proportion

\frac{4}{21.3} = \frac{5}{x} ( cross- multiply )

4x = 106.5 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x ≈ 26.6

Hence perimeter of larger figure is approximately 26.6 m

What is the center and radius of the circle given by x2 + y2 - 10x - 12y + 24 = 0?
AveGali [126]

Answer:

centre (5, 6 ) , r = \sqrt{37}

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a circle in standard form is

(x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

where (h, k ) are the coordinates of the centre and r the radius

given

x² + y² - 10x - 12y + 24 = 0 ( collect x and y terms together and subtract 24 from both sides )

x² - 10x + y² - 12y = - 24

using the method of completing the square

add ( half the coefficient of the x / y terms)² to both sides

x² + 2(- 5)x + 25 + y² + 2(- 6)y + 36 = - 24 + 25 + 36

(x - 5)² + (y - 6)² = 37 ← in standard form

with centre (h, k ) = (5, 6 ) and r = \sqrt{37}
