Answer:

India experiences the monsoon season that is commonly known as the Indian monsoon

Explanation:

The monsoon season usually occurs due to the differences in the temperature over the land and ocean surface.

In the given image, the country India experiences the monsoon season, where the southwestern summer monsoon is drawn into a region of low pressure mainly due to the extensive heat prevailing over the Thar Desert in the state of Rajasthan and other neighbouring areas during the time of summer.

The wind direction reverses during this time, where the moisture-rich wind blowing from the Indian Ocean flows to the region of low pressure, striking the great Himalayas, and thereby results in precipitation.

This southwest monsoon gets divided into two sections as it reaches India, where one of its parts travels towards the north of the Arabian Sea and over the coastal areas of the western ghats and the other travels over the Bay of Bengal, over the region of Assam and some other states of northeast, and eventually strikes the Himalaya in its eastern side.

This monsoon remains from the month of June to September and during this time, due to heavy rainfall, most of the places are flooded, that leads to the destruction of dams and lives.
