Why are the beak size and shapes of darwin's finches different?

Answer:

C) They adapted to the type of food available.

Explanation:

The beak sizes and shapes of Darwin's fiches are different because of survival of the fittest. The finches that had beaks that could get the food survived while the other died off. Thus, the number of those survived finches increased while the others decreased. The type of food available in each environment is different from the other, which is why they have different sizes and shapes.

Hey there! Darwin's finches had different beak sizes and shapes because of natural selection. Over time, the more desirable traits become more dominant and distinct. These beaks were best fit for the type of food the bird ate. Smaller-beaked birds usually have a seed diet, and larger-beaked birds usually eat large nuts or small creatures like worms and bugs. Hope this helps!

1.Can a woman with A blood mate with a man with B blood and have children with O blood? 2.Which genes would the man and woman ha
julia-pushkina [17]

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

Yes, it is possible. If the woman would have blood AO and the father BO. This would mean there is a 25% chance the child could be OO blood. They would receive an O allele from their mom and an O allele from their dad, in all other cases the O allelle is recessive so AO would be A blood type and BO would be B blood type. AB would be type AB.

A   AB     AO

5.01 Why is the cell membrane essential for cell homeostasis?
hodyreva [135]

A cell membrane does not actually maintain homeostasis by itself. The term homeostasis refers to maintaining a relatively stable internal environment inside of a multi-cell organism. Since the internal environment is the interstitial fluid that is around each and every cell, then homeostasis has more to do with what is outside of a cell than what is inside of it. :)
