Which of the following would not be examples of a gland functioning as part of the endocrine system?
Gre4nikov [31]

Endocrine glands are those that release regulatory chemicals inside the body.  Choices A, B, and D are examples of endocrine glands.  C mentions sebaceous glands, which are found in the epidermis of the skin and secrete sebum (skin oils) onto the surface of the skin.  They have no regulatory function, other than to lubricate and protect the skin.  Sebaceous glands are exocrine glands, and are not part of the endocrine system.

2.Why do introduced species often disrupt an ecosystem?
Bad White [126]

Introduced species

Ecosystems are complex systems that are in dynamic equilibrium with constant interactions between their parts.

When a new species is introduced, new interactions will occur, generating new components of the system and also competing with the previous interactions between the species already present in the system, which normally ends up generating an imbalance in the ecosystem mentioned, i.e a disruption in it.
