2x+3x-x+10x+14=-42

3 step equation
vodka [1.7K]
1. We want to add all alike terms and follow GEMDAS as well. Addition first 2x+3x=5x ,then -x(which is equal to -1x) + 10x = 9x. Now we add 5x + 9x = 14x.
Right now the equation looks like:
14x + 14 = -42

2. Now we process the equation,
Subtract 14 from the left side, but what u do to one side u do to the other so now the equation looks like:
14x = -56

3. Now we are almost finished last step.
14x changes to x and we divide -56 by 14 which equals -4. The answer is
X = -4

A student wants to know the approximate distance between London and Beijing. Using a string, she finds that the distance on a gl
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

8182 kilometers

Step-by-step explanation:

A correct proportion to use is 22 over 5,000 = 36 over d

Cross multiply to get 22d = 5,000 x 36. Then, solve d. d = 8181.81.......so the approximate distance rounded to the nearest whole number from London to Beijing is 8182 kilometers.

Hope This Is Right.....
