Adding to the variable (x+3) shifts the graph left 3 units, adding a constant shifts the graph upwards, in this case 4 units.

we know that

f(x)=x^{2} \\g(x)=(x+3)^{2}+4

the vertex in the function f(x) is the point (0,0)

the vertex in the function g(x) is the point (-3,4)

so

the rule of the transformation that occurs from  f(x) to g(x) is

(x,y)--------> (x-3,y+4)

that means

3 units left and 4 units up

therefore

<u>the answer is the option</u>

left 3, up 4

Select Is a Function or Is not a Function to correctly classify each relation. Title Is a Function Is not a Function
Sindrei [870]
<span>{(2, 2),(4, 4),(6, 6),(8, 8)} Is a function.
{(0, 3),(3, 5),(5, 6),(8, 4)} Is a function.
{(1, 2),(3, 3),(4, 8),(6, 3)} Is a function.
{(3, 4),(5, 2),(5, 6),(7, 3)} Is not a function.

For a relation to be a function, every x value must have only one y value.

Hope this helps.</span>

Data:
Apples = 28
Oranges = 20
Pears = 12

<span>What is the ratio of apples to the total pieces of fruit?
Solving:
</span>\frac{apples}{apples+oranges+pears} =  \frac{28}{28+20+12} =  \frac{28}{60} \frac{\div4}{\div4} \to\:\boxed{\boxed{ratio = \frac{7}{15}}}\end{array}}\qquad\quad\checkmark<span>

Which operation would you do first? 2 · (15 - 2) ÷ 5
ki77a [65]
You would have to do 15 - 2 because according to PEMDAS you do parentheses first and you would do the multiplication and division
