A large research hospital is considering a new computer-based training course for lab safety. The total cost of the hospital's c

urrent training program is $80,000 per year. If the new training program will reduce these costs to $60,000 per year, what is the maximum acceptable cost to initiate the program to reach the break-even point within three years? What is the return on investment for that scenario?

We have been given that total cost of the hospital's current training program is $80,000 per year.

If the new training program will reduce these costs to $60,000 per year , it will help the hospital to save $20,000 per year. So in 3 years hospital will save $60,000.

Since we know that for break-even point to occur, the savings or profit from new program should be equal to the cost of the new program.

The maximum acceptable cost to initiate the program to reach the break-even point within three years will be 3\cdot 20,000=60,000. In 3 years there will be no profit and loss so the break-even point will happen.

Therefore,the return on the investment in this scenario will be $0.

Answer:

The surface area is 339.5 in^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The surface area of a 3-dimensional shape is calculated by adding the areas of each side together, which would be 24.5 + 52.5 + 52.5 + 105 + 105 = 339.5 inches squared.

Solve each exponential equation. <br> 32^x = 81
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

The solution is x = 1.268.

Step-by-step explanation:

The best way to solve this exponential equation is applying the logarithm of base 10 to each side of the equality.

It is also important to remember the following logarithm proprierty:

\log{a^{b}} = b \log{a}

So

32^{x} = 81

\log{32^{x}} = \log{81}

x\log{32} = \log81

1.505x = 1.908

x = \frac{1.908}{1.505}

x = 1.268

The solution is x = 1.268.

Lines CD and CE are tangent to circle a. If m∠DAE = 130°, what is the measure of ∠DCE? A. 230 B. 130 C. 100 D. 50
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

50

Step-by-step explanation:

CEAD makes a quadrilateral

D and D are 90 degrees since it is tangent

C + E + A + D = 360

C + 90 + 130+ 90 = 360

C +310 = 360

Subtract 310 from each side

C = 50
