Depending in what environment they are around and involved with. You could say that in an environment full with people that are abusive, a teen mat be abused domestically. For example, building planes, engineering, working in factories to make stuff for the war. It helped them to realize their independence and many of them enjoyed doing the work that was traditionally for men only.
