Only seven of his plays survive, and many people consider his Oedipus Rex the greatest Greek tragedy. It is option <em>B. Sophocles</em>. He wrote over 120 plays of which only seven have survived. He was the most celebrated playwright in the dramatic competitions of Athens. He competed with Aeschylus and Euripides and won 24 of 30.
