Answer – B. (The Lecompton constitution was a proslavery document, pushed through by fraud, which congress did not approve)

The Lecompton constitution was a pro-slavery constitution which was written in order to admit the state of Kansas to the union that was opposed to the Topeka Constitution which was anti-slavery; the Lecompton constitution was eventually rejected by congress and Kansas became a free state in 1861. Douglas later recalled telling Buchannan that the Lecompton constitution was a blatant fraud on the process of democracy and on the people of Kansas.

Bartholomew Diaz, who was sponsored by Portugal, had just rounded the tip of Africa. Ferdinand and Isabella were desperate to find a way to India (Asia) before Portugal. They were looking for a new way to get there faster.
Columbus had already tried to go to Portugal, but, as said before, Diaz had just rounded the Cape of Good Hope, so Portugal didn't want/need a new idea.
Hope this helps! Please let me know if I'm wrong :)

why did the supreme court not address the question of whether or not powell and his friends were guilty ?
fomenos

Answer:

The Supreme Court did not settle the Powell v. Alabama case because it considered that the defendants had not received a fair trial, in accordance with the rule of due process, since the defendants had not had a defense attorney until moments before presenting the evidence. In this way, their right of defense was violated and thus, although the factual evidence incriminated them, the trial was not carried out respecting the rights of the accused.

Tems11 [23]

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS, is an ultra conservative unrecognized State located in Iraq and Syria that was established around 2014. The reason why this organization has not been recognized as an official State is because of the constant human violations and war crimes committed by them in this region, as well as the terrorist attacks around the world. Their political objective is to rid the Middle East of Western values and modern laws and bring back a way of life that it considers authentically.
