The right answer is B. The Inca successfully developed vertical farming in difficult mountainous regions.

Agriculture was the base of the economy of the Inca empire, where the lands were common. Each family had its land to grow and feed itself. The more members of the family, the greater the amount of land. "The Minka" was the way they worked the land; by this method, the agricultural tasks were carried out through mutual communal aid, in the case that an individual had so much work that he could not do with it, or in the case of orphans, sick and widows. One of the best areas of cultivation of the empire was the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

The potatoes and corn were the basis of the feeding of the Incas, complemented with llama meat and alpaca. Up to 200 different species of potatoes were grown because of their color, shape, and size. They learned to dehydrate the potato to avoid its decomposition; storing them, to ensure the feeding of his army. Their diet was supplemented with vegetables and grains such as olluco, quinoa, tomato, pumpkin, bell peppers, oca, beans, peanuts (from which they extracted oil) and fruits. The Incas used superimposed terraces known as "platforms" to explore the land and water to the maximum, gaining cultivation space on the slopes of the hills.

I would say B because they used terraces to make food on the mountain.

What was the colonial name for laws that banned town meetings in new england?
lara [203]

The name for the laws that prohibited town meetings in New England was Intolerable Acts.

In 1774, Parliament ordered the Boston harbor to be closed until payment for the destroyed tea. Then, the Parliament passed the Massachusetts Governance Act to punish the rebel colony.

Explanation:

  • The upper house of the Massachusetts Parliament would be named by the Crown, which was already the case with colonies such as New York and Virginia.
  • The royal governor could appoint and remove at his will all judges, sheriffs and other executive officials and limit local meetings.
  • Judges would be selected from sheriffs and British soldiers would be tried outside the colonies for alleged misconduct.
  • All these have been called Intolerable Acts by the American Patriots.

Why was korea divided in the first place?
blsea [12.9K]
When the Japanese empire was dismantled at the end of World War Two, Korea fell victim to the Cold War. It was divided into two spheres of influence along the 38th parallel. The Americans controlled south of the line - the Russians installed a communist regime in the north, later ceding influence to China.

It was a chain reaction. Long story short, the countries were pulled into the war because of agreements they had with their allies. This treaty is what caused the countries to enter WWI, to protect and defend their allied countries who were already in the war.
