Look at the picture.
Use Pythagorean theorem:
r^2+23^2=(r+10)^2\\\\use\ (a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2\\\\r^2+529=r^2+2\cdot r\cdot10+10^2\\\\r^2+529=r^2+20r+100\ \ \ |subtract\ r^2\ from\ both\ sides\\\\529=20r+100\ \ \ \ |subtract\ 100\ from\ both\ sides\\\\20r=429\ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 20\\\\r=21.45
The diameter d = 2r, therefore
d=2\cdot21.45=42.9

Sense this would be known to be a 'prism', we would them do the following key point:

l*w*h

Therefore, we would then multiply to following numbers which would be above.

(5*4*3=60)

Question #2.

The reason to why we would us 'square units' to answer in a area format would be because by doing so, it would then describe the surface of the area. And by knowing what you are measuring something by would be a whole lot easier.

Answer:

The inequality is 6 + 3x ≤ 12 or x ≤ 2 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that $6 is for admission which is a fixed amount, $3 is charged per hour and must not spend more than $12. So the inequality will be :

Let x be the no. of hours,

6 + 3x ≤ 12

Solve :

6 + 3x ≤ 12

3x ≤ 12 - 6

3x ≤ 6

x ≤ 6 ÷ 3

x ≤ 2

Which equation could possibly represent the graphed function?
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

You're looking for x-intercepts

From the graph you know that the x-intercepts are as follows:

x = -4, x = -2, x = 4

And this is when y or f(x) = 0

so you can rewrite each x-intercept as an equation

0 = x + 4

0 = x + 2

0 = x - 4

Now you know each of the terms

f(x) = (x-4)(x+2)(x+4)
