Answer with explanation:

Number of Strawberries that Sally owns at noon= 1,600 strawberries

At, 3 Noon

Number of customers who has purchased berries = 20

Number of baskets of berries sold = 50 baskets

Number of Strawberries left = 100

Within three hours

→ Number of baskets sold

               =\frac{50}{20}=2 \frac{1}{2}

Since ,within three hours there are 20 customers who has purchased berries .

So, slope of \frac{20}{3} is an estimate of how many customers are in the field per hour.

→→Total number of strawberry sold =1,600-100=1,500

She is selling , \frac{1,500}{3}=500 strawberries(approximately) per hour.

→→In the starting ,there are 1, 600 strawberries,but at 3'O clock only 100 strawberries are left and 50 baskets of strawberries have been sold.

So, number of Strawberry in each basket

 \frac{1,500}{50}=30 .

⇒The False Statement is:

Option C. She is selling 1, 600/3 or an estimated 533 strawberries per hour.

Solve the question: (-4)+(-1)+2+5+...+x=437
Alex Ar [27]
The sequence is an arithmetic sequence with
a₁ = -4

d = a₂ - a₁
d = -1 - (-4)
d = -1 + 4
d = 3

an = x

Sn = 437

General formula in arithmetic sequence
Formula to find nth term
an = a₁ + d(n - 1)
Formula to find sum of sequence (sn)
Sn = n/2 (a₁ + an)

We have to make an equation system based on the problem
plug the numbers into the formula
First equation
an = a₁ + d(n - 1)
x = -4 + 3(n - 1)
x = -4 + 3n - 3
x = 3n - 7

Second equation
Sn = n/2 (a₁ + an)
n/2 (a₁ + an) = 437
n/2 (-4 + x) = 437
n(x -  4) = 874
xn - 4n = 874

Solve the equation system by subtitution method
Subtitute x with 3n - 7 in the second equation
xn - 4n = 874
(3n - 7)n - 4n = 874
3n² - 7n - 4n = 874
3n² - 11n - 874 = 0
(3n + 46)(n - 19) = 0
n = -46/3 or n = 19
Because the number of terms shouldn't be negative, -46/3 isn't required, so the value of n is 19.

Solve for x, back to the first equatin
x = 3n - 7
x = 3(19) - 7
x = 57 - 7
x = 50

The solution is 50

Solve for y<br> a. 4x + 5y = 25
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

y = -4/5x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve for y, we need to isolate the variable. First, let's subtract 4x on each side. After doing said step, we should now have this equation:

5y = -4x + 25

Next, we need to divide 5 on each side, giving us this new equation:

y = -4/5x + 5

There you go! Let me know if I did anything wrong ^-^

The mr William two questions please!
melamori03 [73]

well, in short, the students and chaperones are at a 2 : 9 ratio, and we know there are 171 students, how many chaperones then, so long they maintain a 2:9 ratio?

\bf \cfrac{chaperones}{students}\qquad 2:9\qquad \cfrac{2}{9}\qquad \qquad \cfrac{x}{171}=\cfrac{2}{9}\implies 9x=2(171) \\\\\\ 9x=342\implies x=\cfrac{342}{9}\implies x=38

What is the circumference of a 12-inch diameter pizza? Leave the answer in terms of ?.
adoni [48]

Answer:

C = 37.7 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

You are looking for the circumference.

Formula for the circumference-> C=2πr

variables:

c = circumference

r = radius

You have the diameter, which is 12 inches. Radius is half of the diameter. which means r is half of 12 (aka 6).

put the radius where the variable is in the formula.

C=2π(6)

you now have enough information to solve for circumference.

C = 2 * π * 6

C = 37.7
