Let's call the length L, the width w.
We have w=1+L/4.
The perimeter is P=2(L+w)=24 hence L+w=12
L+w=L+(1+L/4)=5L/4+1=12
Hence L=11/5*4=8.8 meters

2. Draw the image of RST under the dilation with scale factor 2/3 and center of dilation (1,-1). Label the image RST .
professor190 [17]

Answer:

From the graph: we have the coordinates of RST i.e,

R = (2,1) , S = (2,-2) , T = (-1,-2)

Also, it is given the scale factor \frac{2}{3} and center of dilation C (1,-1)

The mapping rule for the center of dilation applied for the triangle as shown below:

(x, y) \rightarrow (\frac{2}{3}(x-1)+1, \frac{2}{3}(y+1)-1)

or

(x, y) \rightarrow (\frac{2}{3}x -\frac{2}{3}+1 , \frac{2}{3}y+\frac{2}{3}-1)

or

(x, y) \rightarrow (\frac{2}{3}x+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{2}{3}y-\frac{1}{3} )

Now,

for R = (2,1)

the image R' = (\frac{2}{3}(2)+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{2}{3}(1)-\frac{1}{3} ) or

(\frac{4}{3}+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{3} )

⇒ R' = (\frac{5}{3} , \frac{1}{3})

For S = (2, -2) ,

the image S'=  (\frac{2}{3}(2)+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{2}{3}(-2)-\frac{1}{3} ) or

(\frac{4}{3}+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{-4}{3}-\frac{1}{3} )

⇒ S' = (\frac{5}{3} , -\frac{5}{3})

and For T = (-1, -2)

The image T' =  (\frac{2}{3}(-1)+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{2}{3}(-2)-\frac{1}{3} ) or

(\frac{-2}{3}+\frac{1}{3} , \frac{-4}{3}-\frac{1}{3} )

⇒ T' = (\frac{-1}{3} , \frac{-5}{3})

Now, label the image of RST on the graph as shown below in the attachment:

Hey there!

φ = (pi / 2) * (180 / pi) = 90

So, this would include that sense 90 is on
the on the x-axis, this would mean that this
would be (0).

Your correct answer is \boxed{\boxed{0}}

Hope this helps.

Xelga [282]

Hello there! Here are your answers:

Does Kerri's dot plot match the data in the tally table? No.

<em>Look at any of the hours on the chart vs dot plot. Let's take 4 for example. In the tally table, there are 6 class mates. In the plot, there are 3. So no, it is not the same.</em>

The answers for the other problems are in this order (<em>since it's the number of circles on the dot plot at the given hour</em>):

5 - classmates spent 3 hours at the park

3 - classmates spent 4 hours at the park

6- classmates spent 5 hours at the park

4 - classmates spent 6 hours at the park

I hope this was helpful and let me know if you need more help! :) Have a great day! :)
