Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason why AC cannot be 12 because AB is 12, and by looking at the graph AC is obviously longer.

now, if you took a look at that link above, let's see.

if we take AB and BC and lie them flat, by opening up the vertex at B, the longest that'd give us is 12+14 = 26, so AC can be at most LESS than 26 units, because if it's 26, then we end up with a flat-line and lose the triangle, so 25 or less is fine for AC.

can it be 30? well, how the dickens are AB + BC going to give 30 or more than 30 really?  nope, not quite, it can't be.

A spinner has three sections. This table shows the results of spinning the arrow on the spinner 80 times.
UNO [17]

The experimental probability of the arrow stopping on Section 2 will be \rm \frac{3}{8}. is the ratio of the favorable event to the total number of events.

<h3>What is probability?</h3>

Probability means possibility. It deals with the occurrence of a random event. The value of probability can only be from 0 to 1.

No of arrows given in the different section ;

Section 1=18

Section 2=30

Section 3=32

The probability that the arrow stopping on Section 2 is found as;

\rm P = \frac{Favourable \ outcomes }{Total \ outcomes }  \\\\\ P= \frac{30}{18+30+32} \\\\ P=\frac{30}{80}\\\\ P= \frac{3}{8}

Hence, the experimental probability of the arrow stopping on Section 2 will be \rm \frac{3}{8}.

More about the probability link is given below.

What is the equation of a line that passes through the point?
Artist 52 [7]
<h3>Answer: 3x-2y = 5 (choice A)</h3>

=====================================================

Explanation:

The given graph passes through (0,2) and (2,5)

The slope of this line is

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (5-2)/(2-0)

m = 3/2

Since the y intercept is b = 2, we go from y = mx+b to y = (3/2)x+2, which is the equation of the graphed line shown.

Any parallel line will have the same slope, but a different y intercept.

-------------------

The parallel line must pass through (x,y) = (3,2). We'll use these coordinates along with m = 3/2 to find the y intercept b

y = mx+b

2 = (3/2)(3)+b

2 = 9/2+b

2-9/2 = b

4/2 - 9/2 = b

-5/2 = b

b = -5/2 ... is the new y intercept

The equation of the parallel line is y = (3/2)x-5/2, which is in slope intercept form

-------------------

Let's convert to standard form

y = (3/2)x-5/2

2y = 3x-5 .... multiply everything by the LCD 2 to clear out fractions

2y+5 = 3x

3x = 2y+5

3x-2y = 5 ... is the equation in standard form of the parallel line

-------------------

As a check, we can plug (x,y) = (3,2) into that last equation above to get

3x-2y = 5

3*3-2*2 = 5 ... replace x with 3, replace y with 2

9-4 = 5

5 = 5

Confirming that (x,y) = (3,2) is on the line.

Solve the system: 10x-9y=8 21y+15x=0.5
artcher [175]

Answer:

x = 1/2 y = -1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Split it into 2 equations:

10x-9y=8

and

21y+15x=0.5

10x - 9y = 8

Step 1: Divide both sides by 10:

x = (8+9y)/(10)

Substitute x = (8+9y)/(10) into 21y+15x=0.5 :

21y + (3(8+9))/(2) = 0.5

Solve for y

<u>y= -1/3</u>

Substitute y= -1/3 into x = (8+9y)/(10)

<u>x = 1/2</u>
