John's band's Facebook page has 17,000 likes. If each of his fans has friends that number 15 percent of the likes that John has,

There could be 42,483,000 potential page fans that John could have excluding his direct fans.
Solution:
1 fan = 17,000 x 15% = 2,550
2,550 x 17000 direct fans = 42,500,000
42,500,000 - 17000 direct fans = 42,483,000

Answer: There are 43333000 people that can like his page if all his fans share his page.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of likes John's band's page has = 17000

Number of friends his fans has = 15% of his likes

which is given by

\frac{15}{100}\times 17000=2550

Now, number of people John's fan page potentially reach if all his fans share his page is given by

17000\times 2550=43350000

Number of people will like his page excluding his direct fans is given by

43350000-17000=43333000

(We subtract 17000 from 43350000 because in our question we have to exclude the direct fans of him and 17000 likes are liked by his direct fans only.)

Hence, there are 43333000 people that can like his page if all his fans share his page.

What is the additive identity of rational number
Burka [1]

Answer:

zero(0)

Step-by-step explanation:

The additive identity of a set of number is a number such that the its sum with any of the numbers in the set would give a result that is equal to the number in that set.

In other words, say for example the set of numbers is rational, the additive identity of rational numbers is 0. This is because, given any rational number say <em>x</em>, adding zero to the number <em>x</em> gives the same number <em>x. </em>i.e

x + 0 = x

If x is say 2, then we have;

2 + 0 = 2

Since adding zero to rational numbers gives has no effect on the numbers, then zero (0) is the additive identity of rational numbers.

The equation below represents the function p.
svet-max [94.6K]
Answers:

1)Tthe first answer is that as x increases the value of  p(x) approaches a number that is greater than  q (x).

2) the y-intercept of the function p is greater than the y-intercept of the function q.

Explanation:

1) Value of the functions as x increases.

Function p:

p(x)= ( \frac{2}{5} )^{x} -3

As x increases, the value of the function is the limit when x → ∞.

Since [2/5] is less than 1, the limit of [2/5]ˣ when x → ∞ is 0, and the limit of p(x) is 0 - 3 =  -3.

While in the graph you see that the function q has a horizontal asymptote that shows that the limit of q (x) when x → ∞ is - 4.

Then, the first answer is that as x increases the value of  p(x) approaches a number that is greater than  q (x).

2) y - intercepts.

i) To determine the y-intercept of the function p(x), just replace x = 0 in the equation:
p(x) = [ 2 / 5]⁰ - 3 = 1 - 3 = - 2

ii) The y-intercept of q(x) is read in the graph. It is - 3.

Then the answer is that the y-intercept of the function p is greater than the y-intercept of the function q.

Which statement describes the transformation of ΔABC? Is ΔA'B'C' ≅ ΔABC? Explain.
TiliK225 [7]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

the triangle has reflected across either x-axis or p-axis. If across x-axis, the triangle needs to translate left and then up (no option for this).
