There's an angle that is 180 degrees, with 2 angles making the first angle. If the first angle is 3 times the second angle, what

Okay, so let the 2nd angle be just x.  Then the first angle is 2x, since it is twice the measure of the second angle (2 times x), and the 3rd angle is 96 + x, since it is 96 MORE (addition) than the 2nd angle.  So our 3 angles are: Angle 1: 2xAngle 2: xAngle 3: 96 + x We know that all 3 angles in a triangle add up to be 180.  So we can add these 3 angles together and set it equal to 180.  2x + x + (96 + x) = 1803x + 96 + x = 1804x + 96 = 1804x = 84x = 21 Now we can plug x = 21 back into our 3 angles from earlier getting: Angle 1: 2(21) = 42Angle 2: 21Angle 3: 96 + 21 = 117 If you add all 3 of these up, you'll see that they equal 180.

If x = –3 is the only x-intercept of the graph of a quadratic equation, which statement best describes the discriminant of the e
natita [175]

Equations don't really have x intercepts, functions or curves do. They're also known as the zeros of the function.  When we set a function equal to zero we get an equation to solve, and the zeros of the function become the solutions or roots of the equation.

If a quadratic equation only has one root, that's a repeated root corresponding to a discriminant of zero.

In this example our equation is something like 2(x+3)^2=0, or expanded

2x^2+12x + 18 = 0

The discriminant d=b^2-4ac here is

d = 12^2 - 4(2)(18) = 0 \quad\checkmark

925 round to the nearest hundred
yarga [219]
925 rounded to the nearest hundred is 900 becuase first we identify the hundreds digit which in this case is 9. Second,we identify the next smallest place value (the digit to the right of the hundreds place) which in this case is 2. Is that digit greater than or equal to five? No - we round Down. The hundreds digit is stays the same but every digit after it becomes a zero.

PolarNik [594]

Answer:

Mrs. Wong spend $545.76 on tiles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mrs. Wong has 144 tiles that she is going to place on her square kitchen floor. If the tiles are $3.79 each, how much did Mrs. Wong spend on tile?

we are given

number of ties=144

cost of one tie=3.79 dollar

we have to find

total cost of 144 ties

for this we will multiply 144 by 3.79

multiplying 144 by 3.79 gives=144*3.79

it other words

one tile cost=$3.79

and for 144 ties cost

multiplying 144 on both sides

144 tiles cost=3.79*144=$545.76
