Answer: Translation would not occur.

Explanation:

The Shine- Dalgarno is a sequence that act as a ribosomal binding site for mRNA molecule of prokaryotic organisms. In bacteria the ribosomal subunit to initiate translation process binds to this sequence.

If this sequence is deleted this will stop the translation process, and further the protein synthesis will not take place in bacterial cell.
