The correct answer is B: Dr. Mia Crawford, a board-certified cardiologist with 16 years of experience, has some strong opinions about the American diet.

When an author makes an appeal to ethos, he or she uses an authority to persuade the audience. For example, if I want to argue that a particular sneaker is the best one to use for running, a good appeal to ethos will use the authority of a successful track and field runner or an athlete. That's because a successful athlete, and not a chef or musician, will likely know which sneaker is the best for running.

Here, "a board-certified cardiologist with 16 years of experience" certainly has the authority to speak knowledgeably on the subject of a healthy diet. That's why B is the best answer.

The correct answer is B. Dr. Mia Crawford, a board-certified cardiologist with 16 years of experience, has some strong opinions about the American diet.

Explanation:

The appeal to ethos focuses on the credibility or authority of the speaker, this includes his/her education, expertise or experience. This implies in this appeal the speaker does not provide evidence that supports a claim but relies on who she/he is to convince the audience they should believe his/her words. An example of this is "Dr. Mia Crawford, a board-certified cardiologist with 16 years of experience, has some strong opinions about the American diet" because in this case the speaker focuses on showing Dr. Mia Crawford is credible and therefore the audience should accept what she says because she is a certified cardiologist with broad experience.

What does the narrator mean by the line, "Summer spoke to me?"
Lera25 [3.4K]
It’s kinda like figurative language but it’s not literal. The term “Summer spoke to me” most likely meant, reaching but not in a literal way.

I NEED SOME TIPS OR HELP PLZ
Mazyrski [523]
This is exactly like comparing a book to a movie - Except there is no visual stimulation with the sound.
I also can't help much - Considering I do not pursue the text. Try to find examples based on my explanation.

Listening to sound reading always affects the way you interpreted the scene during the silent reading - Mostly because there is stimulation of how you are SUPPOSED to feel during this exact moment. The intensity in the narrator's voice, each sound they make, it stimulates your imagination. A sound can make you think differently of a certain point in the text after you read it. Sometimes, the words may sound better when pronounced, too.
Even though, reading may help you perfect your writing, considering you will know how to write words better after seeing them. Writing takes years to  perfect, and so does grammar, but by reading you can make it even better than before.
Not only that, but your imagination and interpretation during reading are always your way, and they will change if you listen to it.

I hope I helped! Kudos.
