The tropics are that part of our planet which forms more or large the middle part of our planet earth. This region gets more exposure to the sun. They form the latitudes line of he Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn.

The 23.5 degree north latitude form the Tropic of Cancer and the 23.5 degree south latitude forms the Tropic of Capricorn.

This region receives direct sun light at some point during the year. On June 21st, the sun rays directly reaches the Tropic of Cancer and it forms the beginning of summer season in the northern hemisphere.

Likewise, on December 22nd, winter season begins in the Northern hemisphere when the sun rays fall directly on the Tropic of Capricorn.
