I have not done these for a long time so don't expect me to be correct all the time.

So you want to find out 2.1% out of the 16,000 gifts. Then you will want to move the decimal (2.1%) to the left twice. You will get .021 . Once you get that, you will want to multiply that with 16,000. Once you did that, you will get your answer.

They can expect 336 gift to be exchanged

Solve using the elimination method. <br> show your work <br> 2x - y = 6 <br> x + y = 6
bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

x=4, y=2

Step-by-step explanation:

2x - y = 6

x + y = 6

Add these together to eliminate y

2x - y = 6

x + y = 6

-----------------

3x = 12

Divide by 3

3x/3 = 12/3

x=4

But we still need y

x+y =6

4+y =6

Subtract 4 from each side

4+y-4 = 6-4

y=2

A certain freely falling object, released from rest, requires 1.50 s to travel the last 30.0 m before it hit the ground. a.Find
Lyrx [107]
A.)
<span>s= 30m
u = ? ( initial velocity of the object )
a = 9.81 m/s^2 ( accn of free fall )
t = 1.5 s
s = ut + 1/2 at^2
\[u = \frac{ S - 1/2 a t^2 }{ t }\]
\[u = \frac{ 30 - ( 0.5 \times 9.81 \times 1.5^2) }{ 1.5 } \]
\[u = 12.6 m/s\]
</span>
b.)
<span>s = ut + 1/2 a t^2
u = 0 ,
s = 1/2 a t^2
\[s = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 } \times a \times t ^{2}\]
\[s = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 } \times 9.81 \times \left( \frac{ 12.6 }{ 9.81 } \right)^{2}\]
\[s = 8.0917...\]
\[therfore total distance = 8.0917 + 30 = 38.0917.. = 38.1 m \] </span>

The graph of a proportional relationship contains the point (-30, 18)
Elena L [17]

Answer:

k=-\frac{3}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

A relationship between two variables, x, and y, represent a proportional variation if it can be expressed in the form k=\frac{y}{x} or y=kx

In a proportional relationship the constant of proportionality k is equal to the slope m of the line and the line passes through the origin

we have the point (-30,18)

so

x=-30, y=18

Find the value of k

k=\frac{y}{x}

substitute

k=\frac{18}{-30}

Simplify

Divide by 6 both numerator and denominator

k=-\frac{3}{5}

Answer:

(x+4)(3x^2 + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

3x^3+12x^2+2x+8

3x^2(x + 4) + 2(x + 4)

(x+4)(3x^2 + 2)
