Answer:

Q1: Option B. Caesarean section commonly happens when the baby is in distress, too large, or not head down.

Q2: Option C. The following statement is  NOT  true about stage 1 of labor:

"contractions are infrequent at this stage"

Explanation:

Q1:  A cesarean, also known as a c-section, is a surgical procedure used to help to deliver a baby through incisions in the abdomen and uterus. Although c-sections are considered safe, they are only recommended in specific conditions, such as if the baby is under stress, if the baby is too large for the mother to delivery him/her through a vaginal delivery, or if the baby is not head down at the time of birth.

Q2: Natural or vaginal delivery is divided into four stages of labor. During the first stage of labor that lasts at least 8 up to 12 hours generally, the cervix dilates from 4 to 10 centimeters, and when the dilation reaches the 10 centimeters, the active labor begins; therefore it is important to go to the hospital during this stage. The cervix expands due to contractions appearing that helps to open your cervix, therefore it is incorrect to say that contractions are infrequent at this stage.

What are the advantages of seeing a specialist as opposed to a primary care physician
Pachacha [2.7K]
Primary Care Providers are doctors who have been trained to be a patient’s first point of entry into the health care system. If you're looking to get your annual physical or need to see a doctor about something that's wrong with your health, they’re great resources because they’re trained to be able to diagnose a wide variety of medical conditions. Specialists are doctors who have advanced training and degrees in a particular branch of medicine, such as heart health or bone health. Depending on the field, many can also perform surgery. If you have, say, a suspicious mole, your primary care provider may recommend that you follow up with a dermatologist so he or she can check it out and possibly remove it surgically.
