Hey there! :D

So, we know that there are 3 z's and 3 6's.

3*z= 3z

6*3= 18

3(z+6) <== equivalent expression

3z+18 <== equivalent expression

z is by itself. It shouldn't combine. It should stay the same. 6 as a unit is separate from z.

Choices "B" and "E" are correct.

I hope this helps!

dentify the vertical asymptotes of f(x) = quantity x plus 6 over quantity x squared minus 9x plus 18.
ser-zykov [4K]
So the function we're dealing with is

f(x) = \frac{x+6}{x^{2}-9x+18 }

Factorising we get, x^{2} -9x+18=0
(x-3)(x-6)=0

Therefore, the vertical asymptotes are at x = 3 and x = 6
