\\
\text{Consider the given table for the function }f(x).\\
\\
\text{we know that for any function f(x), the value of the function at}\\
\text{any point x=a is given by the expression }f(a).\\
\\
\text{so in order to find the value of the f(8), we look for the value of}\\
\text{the function at x=8.}\\
\\
\text{from the given table, we can see that at x=8, the function value is 52}\\
\\
\text{hence the value of function at x=8 is given by, }f(8)=52.

From the table, we can see that  f(8) = 52

the total attendance at a concert in a theater hall was 1500, of this total 400 were children,850 were women , and the remaining
AleksandrR [38]

<u>Answer:</u>

Below!

<u>Step-by step explanation:</u>

<u>We know that:</u>

  • 400 + 850 + m = 1500

<u>Solution of Question A:</u>

<u>Percent of children: Total children/Total attendance</u>

  • => 400/1500
  • => 4/15
  • => 0.27 (Rounded to nearest hundredth)
  • => 0.27 x 100
  • => 27%

<u>Hence, the percent of children is about 27%.</u>

<u>Solution of Question B:</u>

<u>Percent of women: Total women/Total attendance</u>

  • => 850/1500
  • => 85/150
  • => 17/30
  • => 17/30 x 100
  • => 17/3 x 10
  • => 170/3
  • => 56.67%

<u>Hence, the percent of women is 56.67%.</u>

<u>Solution of Question C:</u>

  • 400 + 850 + m = 1500
  • => 1250 + m = 1500
  • => m = 1500 - 1250
  • => m = 250

<u>Percent of men: Total men/Total attendance</u>

  • => 250/1500
  • => 1/6
  • => 0.17 (Rounded to nearest hundredth)
  • => 0.17 x 100
  • => 17%

<u>Hence, the percent of men is about 17%</u>

Hoped this helped.

If x+y=z and z=x+4,then x+y=x+4
lidiya [134]
That is true because as you can see in the other 2 equations, they both have z on one of the sides meaning that the sides that don't have z are equal to each other

Hope this helps :)

v =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h \\ r = 8 \: cm \\ h = 15 \: cm
From the diagram, we can see that the radius of the cone is 8cm and the height of the cone is 15cm. We then just plug these numbers into the formula and simplify:
v =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h \\ v =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {(8)}^{2} (15) \\ v = 320\pi
The volume of the cone is approximately 1005.3096 cm^3. With 3 sig figs, this is 1010 cm^3.

The rotation about UG would generate a hemisphere of radius 8. The volume of a sphere with radius r is \dfrac43\pi r^3, so the volume of the hemisphere would be \dfrac12\cdot\dfrac43\pi 8^3\approx\dfrac{1024\cdot3.14}3\approx1071.79.
