A relation is simply a set of ordered pairs, while a function is a set of ordered pairs in which each x-coordinate has only ONE y-coordinate associated with it.

<span>The first elements in the ordered pairs (the x-values), form the domain<span>.  </span>The second elements in the ordered pairs (the y-values), form the <span>range.  </span></span>

<span><span>
</span></span>

<span><span>In the set,</span></span>

<span>{(1, 3), (2, 3), (3, 3), (4, 3)}

it is not a function, based on the definition since an x-coordinate has the same y-coordinate which is 3.

The domain is (1,2,3,4) while range is (3).</span>

Domain is {1 ,2,3,4}
range is {3}
it's a function because each element in x has only one image in y

Which expressions are equivalent to 5(-2k-3)+2k
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

-8k - 15

Step-by-step explanation:

5(-2k-3)+2k

At first, we will break the parenthesis. To break that, we will multiply the value inside the parenthesis by the adjacent number, that is 5. Again, we have to consider the Algebraic operation (Golden rule) -

[(-) x (-) = (+); (+) x (-) = (-)]

Therefore, since there is a minus sign in each of the value inside the parenthesis, the result will be minus as 5 is a positive integer.

or, -5*(2k) - (5*3) + 2k

or, -10k - 15 + 2k

or, -8k - 15 (after the deduction)

The answer is = -8k - 15

Electrical resistance ina wire is directly proportional to its length and inversely proportional to the square of its diameter.
LenaWriter [7]
Initial Conditions:

length=L= 10 cm = (10*10⁻²)m
Diameter=D= 2 cm= (2*10⁻²)m
Radius= r= 0.01m
Area=A= π*r²/2 =1.57*10⁻⁴ m²

Resistance=R= 600 ohm

So, from initial conditions we find resistivity(р)
                                       R=рL/A
                                       R*A /L=р
                                      (600)*(1.57*10⁻⁴)/(10*10⁻²)=р
                                       р=0.942 Ω m
<span>As, material remains same so resistivity(p) doesn't change

 </span>Lenght= L1= 15 fm= 15*10⁻¹⁵ m
Diameter= D1 = 5 cm= 5*10⁻² m
Radius= r= 0.025 m
Area= A1= π*r²/2 =9.8125*10⁻⁴ m²
                                               R=р*L1/A1
                                               R=(0.942 )*(15*10⁻¹⁵ )/(9.8125*10⁻⁴)
                                               R=1.44*10⁻¹¹ Ω
