One of the parallels is that Dravot, in a place far from his homeland,  helped some  men who were being chased. He is made king after that. He was a hero and because of this recognition he decides to give the people a strong and powerful nation.English Kings have always wanted their kingdom to be well established and powerful." ....My work was to help people..."He brings peace to this people and also tries to organize them in order to get resources. A second parallel would be the following;while Dravot is in land Carnhean goes to explore other places. He conquers another kingdom where he finds many richies such as gold and precious stones. The English have long been recognized for conquering far away lands so as to be more powerful and resorceful..." By virtue of the authority vested in me by my own right..."Last but not least, the sense of superiority both characters show depicts the feelings the British emperors have had in the history of humanity.Believing themselves better than all the rest made them look for other places to occupy and triumph over. All their colonies are the evidence of their belief and the actions the British Empire engaged on in order to obtain the sovereignty they wanted .

FYI, I dont reccomend putting your full name anywhere on the internet, and in the top right hand corner we can all see your name. Also to answer this Question I reccomend going to Shmoop.com and looking up "The Hunger Games Chapter 21 Summary" or just going on Google and searching "Chapter 21 summary of The Hunger Games" and it'll be the first link to pop up. Remember to put it in your own word and source it, DO NOT write it word for word, because that would be Plagiarism; and Plagiarism is illegal.

What is a monologue? I need to write a monologue but I have no idea what it is, I know it’s a speech but like does it have to be
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

A monologue is a speech given by a single character in a story. In drama, it is the vocalization of a character’s thoughts; in literature, the verbalization.

Explanation:

A monologue speaks at people, not with people. Many plays and shows involving performers begin with a single character giving a monologue to the audience before the plot or action begins. Monologues give the audience and other characters access to what a particular character is thinking, either through a speech or the vocalization of their thoughts. While the purpose of a speech is obvious, the latter is particularly useful for characterization: it aids the audience in developing an idea about what the character is really thinking, which in turn helps (or can later help) explain their previous (or future) actions and behavior.
