Distribute -3 to parenthasees
-3(r+9)=-3r-27

now we have
-3r-27=-32
add 27 to both sides
-3r+27-27=27-32
-3r+0=-5
-3r=-5
divide both sides by -3
r=-5/-3
r=5/3

Answer:

x= 1

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 1 is the axis of symmetric for the graph

if we draw a line parallel to the y axis one units to the right side of the origin we get the line of symmetry of the graph.

and since the line of symmetry is parallel to y axis and passes thru the point (1, 0) it's equation is x= 1

The lines on the graph below represent the cost of apples at four different stores,
rewona [7]

Answer:

The store is the cost of apples the least is store A

Step-by-step explanation:

On the graph the lowest line is A which means the prices are lower for the pounds of apples.

At Store A is the cost of apples the least. This is because it always has the lowest price for each pound compared to the other lines.

Algebra I

  • Terms/Coefficients
  • Coordinates (x, y)
  • Solving systems of equations using substitution/elimination

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define Systems

y = -4x + 1

11y = x + 146

Step 2: Solve for x

Substitution

  1. Substitute in y:                                                                                                   11(-4x + 1) = x + 146
  2. Distribute 11:                                                                                                     -44x + 11 = x + 146
  3. [Addition Property of Equality] Add 44x on both sides:                              11 = 45x + 146
  4. [Subtraction Property of Equality] Subtract 146 on both sides: -135 = 45x
  5. [Division Property of Equality] Divide 45 on both sides: -3 = x
  6. Rewrite/Rearrange:                                                                                             x = -3

Step 3: Solve for y

  1. Define original equation:                                                                                  y = -4x + 1
  2. Substitute in x:                                                                                                   y = -4(-3) + 1
  3. Multiply:                                                                                                           y = 12 + 1
  4. Add:                                                                                                                      y = 13
