Distribute -3 to parenthasees
-3(r+9)=-3r-27

now we have
-3r-27=-32
add 27 to both sides
-3r+27-27=27-32
-3r+0=-5
-3r=-5
divide both sides by -3
r=-5/-3
r=5/3

Zoe is comparing two local yoga programs. Yo-Yoga charges a $35 registration fee and $90 a month. Essence Yoga charges a registr
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

After 4 months

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost at both the programs consists of a "fixed cost" (reg fee)  & "variable cost" ( per month fee).

Let number of months be "x"

<u>Yo-Yoga:</u>

35 fixed

90 per month

So equation would be: 35 + 90x

<u>Essence Yoga:</u>

75 fixed

80 per month

So equation would be: 75 + 80x

To find number of month when cost would be same, we equate both equations and solve for x:

35 + 90x = 75 + 80x

10x = 40

x = 40/10

x = 4

hence, after 4 months, both cost would be same

A and b are independent. calculate p(a or<br> b.if p(a) = 0.22 and p(b) = 0.24.
ziro4ka [17]
If events A and B are independent,
For mutually exclusive then  p(A or B) = p(A) + p(B).

For not mutually exclusive then p(A or B) = p(A) + p(B) - p(A and B)
And:        p(A and B) = p(A) * p(B)

Given: <span>p(A) = 0.22 and p(B) = 0.24.
</span>
<span>∴ p(A and B) = p(A) * p(B) = 0.22*0.24 = 0.0528
</span>

If A and B are mutually exclusive
∴ p(A or B) = p(A) + p(B) = 0.22 + 0.24 = 0.46

If A and B are not mutually exclusive
∴ p(A or B) = p(A) + p(B) - p(A and B) = 0.22 + 0.24 - <span>0.0528 = 0.4072
</span>
=============================================

note: Two events are mutually exclusive if it is not possible for both of them to occur, which mean the occurrence of one event "excludes" the possibility of the other event.
