Which word does the author use to show that he believes the spaceship metaphor is inaccurate

English

The word the author uses to show the inaccuracy of the spaceship metaphor is D. Dangerous.

The author chooses to use the word dangerous because it has a very negative connotation. By claiming that the spaceship metaphor can be dangerous, the writer is already influencing the reader negatively towards this idea. Furthermore, the words everyone and equal have a neutral connotation, while the word enthusiastic has a positive connotation.

List three examples of imagery regarding where Grendel's and his mother live.
Akimi4 [234]

Three examples of imagery regarding where Grendel and his mother are:

 • No one knows its bottom,
 • 'Hunted through the woods by packs of hounds
 • 'They live in secret places...'

What is imagery?

Imagery is a term that shows a vivid description of the events in a story. When describing the evil place where Grendel and his mother lived, the usage of terms that depict the place as not having a bottom and being in the woods clearly show that it was a strange and hideous place.

The place was also described as secret and this meant that it was not easily accessible or known to others. Grendel and his mother were not good people as seen in the story, Beowulf. This is also reflected in the description of the place where they lived.

The reader can imagine that the place where they stayed was weird. So, the phrases above connote a good depiction of imagery.
